Yay!!!!! I'm finished!!!!
I started The School Supply Addict (blogger) last year in an attempt to link to my favorite teaching resources and share some stuff of my own. It was going great, but it wasn't really turning out how I had envisioned it. I needed more static pages, easier publishing tools, and I just couldn't get it how I wanted. I still have my personal blog (for family & friends) with blogger and love it.... just wasn't working with this site. So, I've been working over the past six weeks to transfer and set this one up. I think I may have developed carpal tunnel.
This site is structured around 6 different areas:
- Blog I'm still going to blog. I love it and enjoy sharing cool things that others can use.
- Christian I decided to add a Christian resource page because I use them frequently... and why not? It's a big part of who I am and if at least one person finds it useful, then I'll be happy.
- Content This is where you'll find all of the resources categorized by content area. Language arts and math are organized according to the common core strands/domains, while the others are categorized by popular sub-topics. This is also where you'll find a TON of theme pages.
- Management You'll find resources for planning, standards, room design, assessment, behavior, forms, organization, and volunteers.
- Store This is where you can find all of my products. I hope to make them available to purchase directly from the site in the future, but for right now they're on TPT. A lot of them are free and others are fairly inexpensive.
- More Websites, teacher blogs, teacher technology, and literature can be found here. Also, contact details for me are found under that tab.
I really hope you enjoy this site and find it useful. Living overseas (temporarily) and teaching ESL part-time has allowed me to put some energy into this, which is something I've always wanted to do, but never had the time to make it a reality. Here's my little philosophy for this site:
"If I don't use it (or wouldn't use it), then I won't post about it or link it. Seriously"
Yep. I'm serious. I'm pretty picky about how things look and the quality of the content. I won't be putting things on here just to fill up the site. Only great resources. :)
And here we go.... enjoy the new site.
